Rem is David's big brother, although you might
wonder if you saw them standing side by side. His full name is Elmer Hugh
Heck III. His Grandpa went by the name "Elmer" and his Dad was called
"Hugh" so they needed another name. The solution was to spell Elmer
backwards to get "Remle" which has been shortened to Rem.
Rem’s broad business background includes: Sales, marketing, customer services, operations, facilities management, QA design and management and Systems design, support and management including international roll out. Much of it with Texas Instruments in Chicago and Dallas.
At the time he left TI, Rem was a Systems Manager leading 20 applications programmers responsible for the strategic Inventory and Warehouse Control Systems for the Defense Systems and Electronics Group, Digital Systems Group and Industrial Systems Division representing more than one-third of the total annual revenue for the corporation.
Rem has also done contract consulting with banking systems for Banco Nacional de Mexico, and the former Southwest States Bankcard Systems (SSBA).
After 15 years of running his own small business manufacturing model railroad kits, and occasionally doing a little computer consulting, he's decided to follow in his "little" brother's footsteps. He's nearly completed building his own house, just like David, and he's going to start doing some tax preparation while he helps keep the FTMN computers running.
